Some of the most unusual items sold on auction for high amounts of money

 There have been some items that have sold for large sums of money that you wouldn't believe would sell for that amount due to the item itself.  According to CNN, in Auckland  New Zealand a rare houseplant named Rhaphidophora Tetraspema sold for 19,297 dollars. This is the highest amount ever paid for a plant in history.  I hope the buyer has a green thumb.   Some other unusual items that sold for large sums of money are an original Leonardo DiVinci painting named "Salvator Mundi" for 382 million.  It was believed to be a fake originally when bought in the 1950s.   According to Catawiki some of the other items that sold for large sums of money were the world's smallest bible printed in 1727 for 2,400.     The oldest meteorite on earth sold for 16,000. A rare porcelain 1,000-year-old bowl from the Song Dynasty in China (960-1127) sold for 31.9 million. A lock of hair from Elvis Pressley sold for 8,000 dollars.
